Six MSMEs Assisted by Semen Gresik’s RB Rembang selected to participate in the G20 Future SMEs Village in Bali
Rembang, November 15, 2022 – Six MSMEs assisted by Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang of PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) were selected to participate in the G20 Side Event, Future SMEs Village, in the Bali Collection area, Nusa Dua, on November 11 to 19, 2022.
The activity entitled “Future SMEs Village: Local Wisdom for Global Sustainability” was attended by Rumah BUMN from ten leading SOEs in Indonesia.
The special staff of the Minister of State-owned Enterprises (SOE), Arya Sinulingga, stated that the Ministry of SOE supported the G20 activity through MSMEs spread across Indonesia that have gone global.
“This is obviously an opportunity for MSMEs to continue opening new markets and a good chance for business actors to keep being productive and creative,” said Sinulingga.
Sinulingga further explained that this event directly benefited SOEs’ MSMEs in promoting their exceptional products in front of the G20 delegates.
“This event is expected to make the local products of SOEs’ MSMEs well-known globally. So, the G20 Summit is not an event for specific groups only but also for the wider community.”
PTSG’s Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Dharma Sunyata, explained that the selected six MSMEs assisted by RB Rembang consisted of OKVISA, Littlekaaya, Falinn, Najma, Mutiara Collection, and Gunung Kendil batik.
“The participation of six assisted MSMEs in the G20 Side Event in Bali, Future SMEs Village, added to the achievements of RB Rembang in supporting the MSME actors to go global,” said Sunyata in his press release (15/11).
Sunyata pointed out that PTSG, through RB Rembang, will continue to bring positive impacts while empowering MSMEs through product mentoring and curation. Therefore, it is expected that there will be an increase in more marketable products and a more sustainable business transformation.
Additionally, the owner of Gunung Kendil Batik, Hawien Wilopo, expressed his gratitude and pride for being selected to represent the MSMEs from Rembang in the Future SMEs Village exhibition at the G20 event in Bali.
“The excellence of my product is the motif of the modern Lasem-style hand-drawn batik that shows the characteristics of Indonesia with guaranteed quality since it is a handmade product,” he said.
Wilopo hoped that, in the future, RB Rembang will consistently support and always involve local MSMEs in MSME exhibitions at national and international levels.
